Amaranth-LB0710_0780.jpg
Elephant Head Amaranth. This heirloom was brought to the US from Germany in the 1880s and so named because the huge flower takes on the appearance of an elephant's trunk. The 3'-5' plants produce flowers that are deep reddish-purple in color.
