Organic farmer Ted Thorpe's Cabot variety strawberries at Dufferin Grove Farmers' Market. Cabot is an exceptionally large red tasty strawberry. The appearance of Cabot is generally very attractive except for  the very first berries which tend to be slightly irregular in shape.

This berry was developed in Kent, Nova Scotia, Canada and named after John Cabot, the first European voyager to travel to the continent of North America since the Norse Vikings in the eleventh century. He landed in Newfoundland, Canada.
